General Questions

The SSU Alumni Portal is the official online platform for Samar State University graduates. It allows alumni to connect with fellow graduates, register for events, access career services, make donations, and stay updated with university news.

All graduates of Samar State University can register. You'll need to verify your identity using your alumni ID number or graduation records. The verification process typically takes 1-2 business days.

Yes! Basic access to the Alumni Portal is completely free. However, some premium features and benefits require an active alumni membership (Basic, Silver, Gold, or Platinum tier).

Membership

  • Basic (Free): Portal access, event registration, job board access
  • Silver (₱500/year): Digital ID, 10% event discounts, partner discounts
  • Gold (₱1,000/year): All Silver + 20% discounts, priority registration, exclusive events
  • Platinum (₱2,500/year): All Gold + VIP access, career coaching, networking events

Digital Alumni ID is available for Silver tier and above. Once your membership is active, go to Dashboard → Membership → Digital ID to view, download, or add to your mobile wallet. The ID includes a QR code for easy verification.

You can renew online through Dashboard → Membership → Renew. We accept GCash, Maya, bank transfer, and credit/debit cards. You'll receive a reminder email 30 days before expiration.

Events

Browse events at Events → All Events. Click on an event and select "Register." For paid events, complete the payment through our secure payment gateway. You'll receive a confirmation email and e-ticket.

Yes, you can cancel up to 7 days before the event for a full refund. Cancellations within 7 days may be subject to a cancellation fee. Go to My Events → select event → Cancel Registration.

Donations & Giving

Go to Give → Donate. You can make one-time donations, set up recurring monthly donations (Kape ng Alumni - ₱100/month), or contribute to specific campaigns like scholarships or building funds.

Yes, SSU is a government educational institution. Donations are tax-deductible under Philippine law. You can download your donation receipt from Give → Donation History.

Career Services

Go to Careers → Jobs to browse all available positions. You can filter by industry, location, and job type. Create job alerts to receive notifications for matching positions.

Browse available mentors at Careers → Mentorship → Find Mentor. Submit a mentorship request with your goals and preferred meeting times. Once matched, you'll receive the mentor's contact information.

Technical Support

Click "Forgot Password" on the login page. Enter your registered email address, and we'll send you a password reset link. The link expires in 24 hours.

Go to Dashboard → Profile → Edit Profile. You can update your contact information, employment history, and profile photo. Changes are saved automatically.
