General Information

SSU offers various undergraduate and graduate programs across different colleges including Education, Engineering, Business Administration, Arts and Sciences, Agriculture, and more. Visit our Programs page for a complete list.

SSU typically opens admission for the First Semester from March to July, and for the Second Semester from October to November. Check our announcements for specific dates each academic year.

Yes, there is a non-refundable application fee of ₱150.00 for the entrance examination. This covers testing materials and processing costs.
Application Process

  1. Create an account on this portal
  2. Fill out the online application form
  3. Upload required documents
  4. Pay the application fee
  5. Schedule your entrance examination
  6. Take the exam and wait for results

Yes, you can select up to three (3) program choices in your application. Your first choice is your primary preference, and the others serve as alternatives if you don't meet the requirements for your first choice.

The entire process typically takes 2-4 weeks from application submission to receiving your admission result. This includes document verification, examination, and evaluation.
Document Requirements

  • Form 138 (Report Card) - Certified True Copy
  • Certificate of Good Moral Character
  • PSA Birth Certificate
  • 2x2 ID Photo (white background)

We accept PDF, JPG, JPEG, and PNG formats. Each file should not exceed 5MB. Documents should be clear, legible, and scanned at minimum 150 DPI.

You can save your application and submit documents later before the deadline. However, your application will only be processed once all required documents are submitted and verified.
Entrance Examination

The SSU College Admission Test (SSUCAT) covers:
  • English Proficiency
  • Mathematics
  • Science
  • Abstract Reasoning

The examination takes approximately 2-3 hours. Please arrive at least 30 minutes before your scheduled time to complete registration.

Yes, you can reschedule once through your applicant portal, subject to available slots. Rescheduling must be done at least 3 days before your original schedule.
Scholarships

SSU offers various scholarships including:
  • Academic Scholarship (Entrance and Dean's List)
  • CHED Scholarships (TES, TDP)
  • Government Scholarships (DOST, CHED)
  • Private Foundation Scholarships
  • Student Assistantship Programs

After you're admitted, you can apply for scholarships through the Scholarship Office. Some scholarships like CHED-TES require separate application through the UniFAST portal.
Enrollment

  1. Receive your admission notice
  2. Confirm your slot by paying the reservation fee
  3. Attend the orientation program
  4. Submit original documents to the Registrar
  5. Complete online enrollment
  6. Pay tuition and fees

As a state university, SSU offers affordable tuition. The Free Higher Education Act (RA 10931) covers tuition for qualified Filipino students. Miscellaneous fees vary by program.
